Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced carpenter who can work independently with minimal supervision. Applicants should be confident in framing, finishing, installing doors, flooring, and general renovations. Carpenter helpers and entry-level applicants will not be considered.
Duties
Assist senior carpenter in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment safely and effectively during construction activities
Perform demolition, framing, siding installation, and restoration work as directed by supervisors
Carry out heavy lifting and material handling to ensure smooth workflow on-site
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
Solid ability to read blueprints, schematics,
and technical drawings with attention to detail
Basic knowledge of woodworking, concrete finishing, welding, and siding installation techniques
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation for construction tasks
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights
Valuable communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work effectively within a team
Eagerness to learn current skills related to concrete forming, restoration projects, and construction safety procedures
Prior construction experience is a plus but not required; a strong desire to develop carpentry expertise is essential
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
