Job description

The Sales Associate position is fast paced, involving constant interaction with customers in person and over the phone, with the use of a computerized auto parts look up system…explaining product benefits and fulfilling customer needs. Helping customers is combined with store maintenance activities such as stocking shelves, merchandising and general housekeeping.

Responsibilities
Providing excellent customer service
Guide customer to the location of the requested items
Handle customer inquiries and request in a timely manner
Keep up to date on in-store promotions, in store deals and product locations
Follows established procedures
Stock shelves
Maintain inventory accuracy
operate computers and enter all relevant coding of the Canadian Tire system

Requirements
Demonstrates automotive knowledge and interest
Basic math and typing skills
good working knowledge of automotive parts lookup




ability to work under minimal supervision with computerized systems
Highly approachable, customer oriented individual
Robust communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals
ability to multitask, adapt and cope with challenging and rapid changing situations
positive attitude, punctual and solid work ethic

Physical Demands
Standing/walking for up to 8 hours
Lifting and carrying of merchandise on a regular basis. Merchandise may vary in weight from "light" to "heavy"
Climbing ladders
Complete other tasks as required

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
