Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, fabrication, and metalworking processes, with a strong focus on precision and safety. This role involves working with various materials and tools to produce high-quality components for construction, ductwork, and other industrial applications. The MIG Welder will also support related tasks such as blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and basic mechanical assembly.
Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and hand tools to shape and assemble materials
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and schematics for accurate fabrication
Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure proper dimensions
Rigging and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts for welding or assembly processes
Conduct basic machining tasks as needed to prepare parts for welding or assembly
Support assembly of ductwork, structural components,
or other fabricated parts
Maintain a clean and protected work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
Proven experience in MIG welding within manufacturing or construction settings
Knowledge of TIG welding is a plus; ability to perform plasma cutting and operate press brake machines is desirable
Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics reading
Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Experience with welding in ductwork, assembly, or related construction projects preferred
Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding and fabrication processes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
