We are seeking a dependable and motivated Mechanic Helper / Shop Cleaner to join our automotive service team. This role involves assisting with vehicle repairs, maintenance tasks, and shop cleaning duties to ensure a safe, efficient, and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus, but we provide training for the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automotive repair while supporting our skilled technicians.
Responsibilities
Assist mechanics with vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks using hand tools and power tools
Perform basic mechanical work such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs
Maintain cleanliness of the shop by sweeping, mopping, and organizing tools and equipment
Handle heavy lifting of parts and equipment safely and efficiently
Support the team in moving vehicles or parts around the shop as needed
Ensure all work areas are protected, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a qualified attitude when interacting with clients or visitors
Support sales efforts by providing assistance during vehicle inspections or customer inquiries when necessary
Experience
Dealership experience or previous mechanic experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and maintenance
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds)
Solid customer service skills with a professional demeanor
Basic understanding of automotive systems and repair processes is advantageous
Prior experience in maintenance or shop cleaning roles is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $17.43-$30.68 per hour
