Glen Hill Terrace is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our long-term care team on a part time basis. If you are passionate about providing high-quality care to seniors and thrive in a cooperative environment, we would love to hear from you.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Care, the RPN plays a key role in delivering safe, effective, and resident-centered care in accordance with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) standards, applicable legislation, and Glen Hill Terrace policies.

Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in accordance with established standards, physicians’ orders, and care plans
Assess residents and contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
Monitor and document residents’ conditions and respond to changes appropriately
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Supervise and support Personal Support Workers and other care staff
Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and quality improvement initiatives
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
Promote a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents, families, and staff




Adhere to infection prevention & control, occupational health & safety, and Ministry compliance requirements

Qualifications
Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) from the College of Nurses of Ontario
Experience in long-term care or gerontology preferred
Knowledge of RAI-MDS and clinical documentation systems
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork
Leadership experience or training considered an asset

The successful candidate will be required to provide a current vulnerable sector screening, acceptable proof of compliance with the Glen Hill Terrace's Coronavirus Immunization Policy, as well as the 2-step TB test or Chest X-ray, in compliance with the Ministry of Long-Term Care
