Located at the Lois Hole Hospital for Women, working with postpartum patients, the Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of nursing duties by administering protected and effective nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing care standards. The Licensed Practical Nurse will care for postpartum mothers and newborns. The incumbent must demonstrate a professional attitude while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and consider the Essential Habits as set forth by the Royal Alex Way in daily interactions with colleagues, patients and visitors.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
NRP certification, CPR certification, recent experience in Women's Health, successful completion and passing of medication math examination at time of interview.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience in Medicine and surgery units.
