Be a vital part of the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre as a Community Support Program Assistant. This full-time role supports older adults and adults with disabilities through vital services and programs.
The Program Assistant will collaborate with service coordinators to ensure the effective delivery of programs like Meals on Wheels and transportation services. Your work will involve administrative support, volunteer coordination, and community education, ensuring individual needs are met while promoting advocacy and inclusion. You will assist in organizing social and educational activities, further strengthening community ties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support for community programs
• Coordinate service requests through various channels
• Match volunteers with program requirements
• Document client interactions and maintain statistics
• Facilitate community awareness and outreach efforts
Requirements:
• SSW or DSW with Gerontology training
• Minimum two years in social or health services
• Experience managing volunteers preferred
• Robust organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with vehicle access
