Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel estimating with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in industry-standard software such as Building Connected and Construct Connect. The Project Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring our projects are completed within budget.
Duties
Analyze project plans, specs', and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
Utilize software for accurate takeoffs and pricing.
Conduct site visits to assess conditions for accurate pricing.
Develop detailed budgets that include labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
Proficiency in Excel, or similar estimating software.
Familiarity with cost control measures and pricing strategies within the construction industry.
Previous experience on construction sites is preferred, providing practical insights into project execution.
A background in construction management or project management is advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents accurately.
