Seeking a Part-Time LPN for a Saturday/Sunday line to provide medication administration, patient engagement, and OD response to people living in supported housing in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, many with mental health and substance use challenges.

Qualifications:
Member in good standing and current practicing registrant with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
Experience or interest in working with mental health and/or addictions is an asset
Empathetic and comfortable working within a harm reduction framework
Good communication skills and ability to understand the patients
Ability to work efficiently both independently as well as in a team

Job Responsibilities: ·
Deliver direct nursing care as required




Work efficiently with a focus on Medication Administration and Patient Engagement
Using a structured process in collaboration with the client, assess, plan, deliver, evaluate, and document individualized client assessments that reflect the client’s goals and priorities. Provide consistent follow-up and change plans of care as needed
Coordinate nursing care services with the client, physician, hospital, rehabilitation program, long-term care program, and other community services/programs. i.e., mental health, social development, nutrition programs, etc.
Maintain confidential reporting and recording data systems
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective, consistent, and comprehensive care planning and delivery
Support adult activities program initiatives and outings that promote independent living

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
