Weco Waste Solutions is hiring a Swamper to support our vacuum truck and roll off operations. This is an out-of-town role on a 7x7 rotation, with accommodations provided. This is a hands-on field role working directly alongside experienced drivers on commercial and industrial waste jobs. Safety is our number one priority — every shift, every job site, no exceptions. We're willing to train the right candidate; labourer experience is preferred. What You'll Do
Assist drivers with vacuum truck and roll off truck operations, following all safety protocols at every step
Spot trucks during placement, pickup, and maneuvering on job sites — ensuring the area is clear and safe before any movement
Support thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any safety concerns
Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment on and around the truck at all times
Use and maintain all required personal protective equipment (PPE) on every job
Communicate clearly with drivers and site contacts, including flagging any unsafe conditions immediately




Follow safety procedures and WorkSafeBC requirements without exception

What We're Looking For
Willing to work an out-of-town 7x7 rotation (7 days on, 7 days off); accommodations provided while on rotation
A genuine commitment to safety — for yourself, your crew, and the public
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Willing to work shift work and 12-hour days
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
Labourer experience preferred; previous experience in waste hauling, vacuum truck, or roll off operations is a strong asset
Knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations and job site safety standards is a strong asset
Familiarity with traffic control, ground disturbance, or hazardous materials awareness is an asset
