We are seeking a agile and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team! Duties
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, following all traffic laws and safety protocols
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement of cargo
Verify freight documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, for accuracy before dispatching or upon delivery
Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance,



and delivery records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to ensure vehicle readiness at all times

Experience
Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy-duty trucks or long-haul routes
Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading freight safely and efficiently
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for heavy equipment operation
Basic understanding of automotive repair techniques to address minor mechanical issues promptly
Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere strictly to safety protocols in all aspects of the job
