Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our remote, northern contracting team. This position is a fly-in, shift work position at a remote island lodge. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to learn about the construction industry. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a agile environment while contributing to the successful completion of construction projects.

Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment
Support skilled tradespeople in their daily tasks
Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed
Support site cleanup activities at the end of each workday

Requirements




Experience with carpentry / framing is preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
Prior experience in construction or manual labour
Robust work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn recent skills
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to work well within a team setting
Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
