Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Loader Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Cat 972–988 loaders in a protected and efficient manner while performing loading, feeding, and stockpile operations. This role requires strong equipment operating experience, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced aggregate and crushing environment.
Responsibilities
Operate Cat 972–988 loaders safely and efficiently for loading, feeding, and stockpile operations
Load trucks and crushing/screening equipment as required
Maintain organized stockpiles and manage material flow throughout the site
Perform daily pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on equipment
Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
Follow all company safety policies, site procedures, and workplace regulations
Maintain a clean and safe work environment around equipment and operational areas
Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and team members to ensure efficient site operations
Assist with general site duties and equipment support when required
Requirements
Previous experience operating Cat 972–988 loaders preferably
Experience in aggregate, crushing, screening, or heavy equipment operations considered an asset
Valid driver’s licence required
Strong understanding of safe equipment operating practices and job site safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Robust communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Mechanical knowledge and routine equipment maintenance experience considered an asset
