Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or primers for optimal tile adhesion
Measure spaces accurately and cut tiles using hand tools such as tile cutters, saws, and snips to fit designated areas
Lay tiles systematically to ensure proper alignment, spacing, and aesthetic appeal while maintaining a clean work area
Apply grout, caulking, and sealants to finish joints and ensure water-tightness and durability of the installation
Use carpentry skills to modify or construct framing or backing for tile surfaces when needed




Conduct quality checks throughout the process to guarantee exact installation and adherence to safety standards

Requirements
Proven experience with hand tools used in tile installation, including cutters, saws, trowels, and levels
Construction experience with a focus on flooring installation or related trades such as carpentry or handyman work
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to execute projects effectively
Knowledge of tile laying techniques, grout application, caulking, and surface preparation methods
Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, kneel, lift heavy materials, and work in various environments for extended periods
Familiarity with flooring installation processes and general construction practices is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail coupled with valuable communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
