We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our small mom and pop team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on all types of vehicles. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. We specialize in Transmissions but are seeking someone with a firm knowledge of general automotive repair. Wages are paid hourly and are dependent on skill. We would accept an apprentice that's knowledgeable. We are currently working a 4 day 10hr per day work week Monday to Thursday. If you cant be committed to be at work for your shift this job is not for you.
Duties
Conduct repairs on automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized maintenance tools to complete repairs
Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Assist with assembly, installation, or removal of mechanical parts or systems as needed
Skills
Proven experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic with dealership or industrial background
Mechanical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and schematics interpretation
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and maintenance tools
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations
Robust troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately using technical manuals or schematics
Excellent customer service skills for effective communication with clients regarding repairs and maintenance
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
