Qualifications – Northern Ontario Healthcare Facility
Must be registered with the CRTO
Minimum 2 years of relevant RRT experience required
Must be competent in inpatient acute care including ED, ICU, and Med/Surg settings, as well as outpatient testing and ECGs
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 4 months plus possibility of extension

Responsibilities:
Registered Respiratory Therapists are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Providing respiratory care in acute care settings including Emergency Department, ICU, and Medical/Surgical units
Performing outpatient diagnostic testing and ECGs
Managing ventilators and respiratory equipment as required
Conducting patient assessments and developing respiratory care plans
Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility needs and shift requirements, with specific orientation provided on-site.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of Canadian healthcare experience (required)
Strong acute care experience across ED,
ICU, and Med/Surg (required)
Outpatient respiratory testing and ECG experience required
Ability to work independently in high-acuity environments
Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills
Skills:
Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Robust communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to adapt in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
High attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
