Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and experience in the food industry, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen workplace.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Help train new kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience as a cook or in food service is preferred.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
Understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
