The Governance & Tribunal Secretariat at OSC is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support the Board Directors and senior management. You will play a crucial role in governance planning, regulatory oversight, and enhancing the OSC’s governance framework. The position requires robust legal and strategic advisory skills, coupled with exceptional judgment and relationship management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise senior leadership on regulatory responsibilities and governance issues - Lead governance support for Board and Committee activities - Facilitate approval of key regulatory initiatives and policies - Analyze and recommend improvements on complex governance matters - Design and deliver governance education programs
Requirements: - Law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) and Law Society license in Ontario - Minimum eight years of relevant legal experience - Solid knowledge of corporate governance principles - Excellent legal research and analytical skills - Proven stakeholder management abilities
