As an MLA, you will assist medical professionals in processing and analyzing specimens. Key duties include accessioning samples, sterilizing equipment, and supporting pathologists during autopsies. Key Responsibilities:
Assist with grossing tissue and conducting autopsies
Utilize MEDITECH for specimen accessioning
Maintain cleanliness of laboratory and instruments
Process surgical and autopsy-related specimens
Prepare laboratory reagents and perform related tasks
Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification in Medical Lab Assistant course required
CSMLS certification eligibility necessary
Must be licensed or eligible with NSRMLS
Experience in a lab workplace considered advantageous
