Contribute as a Nursing Skills Supervisor and empower students at Conestoga's School of Health & Life Sciences. This part time role is centered on skill assessment and mentorship within clinical settings.
The Practice Application Specialist supports students by demonstrating and assessing nursing skills, ensuring they meet regulatory standards. You will organize and supervise activities in the Open Access Lab and clinical placements, working closely with faculty to promote student success.
Flexible scheduling on-site at various campuses is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Adapt learning activities to meet program outcomes
Document student progress with assessment tools
Conduct student examinations during academic periods
Provide constructive feedback on skill demonstrations
Maintain a clean and functional lab environment
Requirements:
Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse certification in Ontario
Five years of experience in active healthcare
Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
First Aid and CPR training completed
Reliable transportation for multiple site visits
Support nursing education by mentoring and guiding students in practical applications at Conestoga.
