The Company is seeking a full time Board Member to join its independent, quasi-judicial tribunal. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and presiding over regulatory proceedings in a fair, accessible, and well-managed manner.
This includes leading various types of hearings, preparing by reviewing records and evidence, questioning witnesses, and contributing to well-reasoned decisions that align with the legislative intent and public interest. Board Members must be adept at managing complex, data-intensive materials, and be committed to the continuous improvement of tribunal processes.
The role demands a high level of analytical and critical thinking, as well as the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, and to demonstrate sound judgment and strong leadership in a high-stakes environment.
The ideal candidate for this role at the company will have a background in law, economics, engineering, finance, business, or a related field, with an undergraduate degree as a minimum requirement. An advanced degree or professional designation is a robust asset, as is the ability to communicate in both English and French.
Substantial senior-level experience in areas such as litigation, administrative law, energy regulation, economic or financial analysis, or public sector governance and regulatory policy is essential.
