Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and help maintain and enhance outdoor spaces for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor construction, with a strong focus on quality and safety. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, utilizing a range of tools and equipment to deliver exceptional landscape maintenance and installation services.
Duties
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor environments
Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers for site preparation and construction projects
Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks related to gardening, planting, and landscape construction
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure safety and optimal performance
Assist with landscape installation projects, including soil preparation, planting, and hardscape work
Support general construction activities related to landscape projects, adhering to safety standards and project specifications
Skills
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for landscaping tasks
Has an interest to learn and practice proper landscape construction techniques and site preparation processes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
Positive communication skills to follow instructions accurately and report on project progress
Manitoba Drivers Licence Is preferred but not absolutely necessary.
