As a part time Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in a multidisciplinary team aimed at helping youth and young adults aged 13-30. Your responsibilities include assessment, medication management, therapy, and collaboration for comprehensive mental health interventions. The position requires sensitivity towards cultural needs and responsiveness to trauma.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide thorough psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses
• Manage ongoing care, including medication and therapy
• Facilitate family involvement in treatment plans
• Offer crisis management support within a community-based framework
• Work with a focus on concurrent disorders and recovery-oriented care
Requirements:
• Current full licensure from CPSBC
• Eligibility for CCFP and FRCPC designations
• Engagement with UBC Faculty of Medicine as clinical faculty
• Experience in psychopharmacology and trauma-informed care
• Willingness to engage in community visits
