Mobile Preventative Maintenance Yard Mechanic The Mobile Preventative Maintenance Yard Mechanic is responsible for servicing/repairing buses at various SOUTHLAND yards in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Hours of Work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 12‑hour shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Duties Ongoing maintenance/repair of buses Travel between multiple yards to perform preventative maintenance scheduling Diagnose equipment problems Spring and winter maintenance Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities Follow SOUTHLAND procedures and guidelines Requirements Must hold a valid Journeyperson Ticket (either Heavy Duty or Automotive); 4th‑year apprentices will also be considered Own hand tools Fluent in written and spoken English 2 – 5 years related experience Valid driver’s license (class 2 or 3 considered an asset) CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program)
