We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a commercial property management organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This role offers the prospect to guide financial operations, support executive decision-making, and strengthen accounting practices within a growing business.

The successful candidate will bring robust leadership, sound technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic insight with day-to-day financial oversight.

Responsibilities: Direct the organizations complete accounting cycle, ensuring accurate records, timely close processes, and reliable monthly reporting.

Oversee trust accounting activities and maintain compliance with applicable requirements while safeguarding the accuracy of related transactions and balances.

Prepare financial statements, internal management reports, and other analysis to support operational and executive review.

Lead budgeting, forecasting,



and cash flow planning to help the business manage resources effectively and plan for future growth.

Provide guidance, coaching, and performance leadership to the accounting team to build capability and maintain high standards.

Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and company policies.

Work closely with external accounting partners during year-end activities, including audit preparation, documentation, and follow-up.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting methods, and overall efficiency as the organization expands.

Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver financial insight that informs business planning, investments, and strategic decisions.

Contribute to additional finance-related initiatives and special projects that support ongoing business development.
