Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor and located 100% on site at 2 Walker Drive, Brampton, Ontario, this position will require performing various duties of electrical sub-assembly and final assembly of Elevator models.

Responsibilities
Follow instructions on a Material Data Sheet under the direction of the Lead Hand.
Position parts according to blueprints.
Install and connect all associated control wiring.
Check parts, troubleshoot, and perform any rewiring if needed.
Install manual or electric door options.
Perform cab assembly operations.
Perform all final testing and troubleshooting.
Position parts according to drawings.
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners to assemble components for final assembly.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.





Mindset, Skills & Education
Energetic, eager, tenacious.
High School Diploma and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures in English.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must have the ability to perform all tasks with minimum supervision.
Effective communication with supervisors, managers and other stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Demands
Must regularly stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel materials.
Frequently reach with hands and arms.
Walk throughout facility.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds with assistance of another person; assistance is available for weights above lifting capabilities.
