This position requires work under the moderate supervision of the Director of Special Education and Student Services in the Transportation Department. As a Substitute Bus Driver, you'll ensure protected pickups and drop-offs, enforce rules, and maintain both discipline and bus cleanliness. Your interactions with students and school officials will contribute to a positive transportation experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely transport students to and from specified locations
• Safely load and unload students at designated stops
• Maintain discipline and report misbehavior as necessary




• Keep the bus clean and organized for passenger safety
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any issues
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid commercial driver's license with school bus endorsement
• General knowledge of bus operation and district geography
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships
• Patient and understanding demeanor with children
