Lab Patient Technician

Temporary, part‑time position (6‑month contract). Flexibility required to work Sunday‑Saturday, 7:15 am‑6:00 pm, across North York, Scarborough and Durham.

Responsibilities
Greet patients, gather required information, and explain specimen collection procedures.
Perform phlebotomies, connect and disconnect Holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings.
Collect special test specimens (medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials) and complete related documentation.
Maintain client relationships, respond to inquiries, and follow up on requests.
Enter patient demographics, requisition data, and other processing information into the system.
Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.

Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent (preferred).
Phlebotomy experience is an asset.
ECG training or experience is an asset.
Excellent communication skills.
Computer proficiency with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
Robust customer/patient service skills,
