The First Nations Health Authority is seeking a committed Community Health Nurse for part time service in the beautiful Gitxsan territory. This role emphasizes full immunization, TB testing, STI management, and prenatal education. You will engage with local communities, providing essential health services while benefiting from skilled growth opportunities tailored to public health nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver immunization programs and monitor vaccine compliance
• Conduct TB testing and screening within the community
• Provide education on STI management and support health initiatives
• Assist in prenatal and postnatal education and care
• Manage chronic illnesses with culturally-informed approaches
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution
• Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
• Basic Life Support Certification Level C
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
