Course Title: NUR2 515 - Applied Statistics for Nursing

Estimated Number of Positions: 2

Total Hours of Work per Term: 360 hours (2 x 180 hours = 360 hours)

Dates: FALL 2026, August 30, 2026 - December 31, 2026.

Job Description

Under the supervision and in collaboration with the course coordinator, the TA will help teach, motivate, and engage nurses pursuing their bachelor’s degree on the topics of evidence-based practice, research methods, and knowledge translation.

Responsibilities

- embrace learner-centered approaches to teaching;
- mobilize students, guest speakers, and resources to offer exciting presentations, readings, and approaches to learning research, and discussions of research findings of relevance to nursing;
- be open and well versed in different research designs and methods.
- participate in teaching and the evaluation of students in the course.

Compensation

Salary: $38.46/hour

Hourly Salary: $37.34

Desired Qualifications

- Current Masters or Doctoral student at McGill.
- The candidate should have successfully completed NUR2 515 or a similar graduate level course in Statistics.
- Graduate teaching experience is preferred and an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
