As a Child Care & Food Services Assistant with the City of Toronto, you will support children in daily routines and assist in food preparation and service. Your background in early childhood education, food handling, and a focus on safety will be essential. This role requires maintaining a protected and clean environment while engaging with children in meaningful play and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist children with daily routines and activities
• Prepare, serve, and clean up after meals
• Monitor children's health and safety on the playground




• Maintain compliance with Toronto Public Health guidelines
• Document children's progress and incidents
Requirements:
• Experience in food service for large groups
• Knowledge of child care practices and safety regulations
• Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift and care for children up to 20 kg
