Provide exceptional personal care as a Personal Support Worker at Southbridge Care Homes. Enhance the lives of residents by addressing their physical and emotional needs in Ontario.
As part of your role under the guidance of the Director of Care, you'll support residents in daily living activities, promote their engagement in various programs, and care for their nutritional needs. Your insights into resident care will be valuable in shaping personalized care plans during conferences. Your contribution is essential to maintaining a best-in-class care workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with grooming, feeding, and bathing
• Facilitate and encourage participation in activities
• Support nourishment delivery and meal assistance
• Provide emotional and social support,



including during palliative care
• Maintain proper documentation and inform the supervisor of care needs
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited PSW Program totaling at least 600 hours
• Experience in long-term care is preferred
• Robust verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Completion of a recent TB skin test and negative vulnerable sector check
