Join the Innis College Writing Centre as a Writing Instructor starting September 2026 in Toronto. Provide individualized writing support to enhance students' university writing skills in various formats.
The Writing Centre is hiring up to four instructors for the term. Positions focus on teaching crucial writing elements in 50-minute sessions, both online and in person. Instructors may also prepare instructional materials and conduct workshops to meet the diverse needs of our student population.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual writing sessions for undergraduates
• Create effective instructional materials for students
• Facilitate group workshops as needed
• Develop and share writing advice resources
• Tailor instruction based on student diversity
Requirements:
• Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Proven ability to write transparent prose
• Previous experience teaching at the postsecondary level
• Capability to instruct in both formats
• Teaching assistant experience in writing courses preferred
