Our distribution client is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper on a 6-month contract, with potential to turn permanent, to join their finance team near Ayr, ON.

Reporting to the Controller, you''ll be responsible for handling full-cycle accounts payable while also assisting with a variety of day-to-day accounting activities .

Please note: This position is fully in office What You''ll Be Doing: Ownership of full-cycle bookkeeping; including AP and AR Manage the full-cycle AP, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs Match vendor invoices to purchase orders and goods receipt documentation, and resolve discrepancies Verify, code, and process non-PO invoices Record invoices and payments accurately in the accounting system Maintain vendor records and respond to invoice and payment inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs Download and prepare AP reports as required Assist with month-end reconciliations and supporting schedules Liaise with customer service, procurement,



and other internal teams to ensure timely invoice processing Support the Accountant with day-to-day accounting tasks, with the prospect to take on Accounts Receivable responsibilities over time Perform other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required We''re Looking For: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5+ years of Bookkeeping experience, including AP and AR Experience with ERP/accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Robust communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across departments A proactive, team-oriented individual who can prioritize competing deadlines and resolve issues professionally We would like to thank all applicants however only those under consideration will be contacted.
