Join Misericordia Community Hospital as a full time Pharmacist I, dedicated to protected and effective pharmaceutical service delivery in an urban acute care environment.
In this role, you'll manage medication therapies and engage in necessary interventions to maximize patient health outcomes. This position requires a graduate from an accredited Pharmacy program, a valid license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists, and the ambition to achieve additional prescribing authority shortly after your start date.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe preparation and distribution of medications
• Monitor and manage medication therapies for patients
• Optimize patient outcomes through necessary interventions
• Work closely with other health professionals
• Adhere to HSAA Paramedical Qualified/Technical standards
Requirements:
• Completion of a Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent
• Active Alberta Pharmacy license required
• Additional prescribing authorization within 18 months
• Clinical experience in urban acute care preferred
• Accreditation from Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists preferred
