Step into the role of a Corporate Governance Specialist, impacting both Diabetes Canada and National Diabetes Trust. This position focuses on administrative support and governance oversight for nonprofit organizations.
The Governance Specialist collaborates closely with senior leaders and the Board to facilitate board meetings, maintain corporate records, and ensure compliance with regulations and governance policies. This role also includes developing Board portal resources and managing risk evaluations, making it essential for effective decision-making at both organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate Board meeting preparations and materials
• Develop and manage a governance policy framework
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements




• Oversee Board self-evaluation tools
• Assist in Directors’ recruitment and training
Requirements:
• 3–5 years of experience in governance or nonprofit management
• Relevant university or college degree
• Project management and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
