Work Authority is a proud Canadian company since 1938 that leads in safety footwear and work apparel across Canada. We are seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily retail operations at our Cambridge location.

Responsibilities
Lead and inspire a team of retail associates, providing guidance, coaching and support on assigned shifts.
Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure smooth store operations during the shift.
Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and serve as a role model for the store team.
Ensure all customers are greeted warmly and receive prompt assistance.
Deliver legendary service by resolving customer inquiries according to Work Authority’s Values.
Achieve sales targets by motivating the team to provide exceptional sales experiences.
Train and coach associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Be responsible for the store’s opening and closing procedures.
Assist with inventory, including receiving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise.




Provide customers with a hassle‑free experience when they need to exchange or return products.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and store operational guidelines.
Adhere to loss prevention guidelines to minimize theft and maximize store profit.

Qualifications & Skills
A minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams), and other retail software.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Excellent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
Solid organizational and time‑management abilities.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders safely, stand for prolonged durations, bend and move with ease.
Reliable and adaptable to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and weekdays.
