Responsibilities Perform repairs to machinery and plant support systems with regards to hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs; Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on machinery and plant support equipment and complete the associated reports; Troubleshoot and program machinery using various PLC formats, CNC Tube Benders; Diagnose and repair basic electrical problems with equipment; Modify and overhaul machinery and equipment as directed Contribute to implement continuous improvement changes in accordance with ISO 9001:2000; Complete all check sheets and records as related to the Preventative Maintenance program, work orders, etc.
Prepare reports on machinery downtime and other reports as required; Ensure compliance with all required legislative safety requirements Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions Repair or replace defective machinery parts Fabricate parts required during overhaul Perform routine maintenance work on machinery Operate machining tools to fabricate parts Operate hoisting and lifting equipment Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation Welding: GTAW, TIG, GMAW and SMA Hydraulic/Pneumatic maintenance Qualifications Must be a Certified Millwright in the Province of Ontario for at least two years and have three plus years experience in a manufacturing workplace.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have a positive understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
