Financial Services RepresentativeAs a Financial Services Representative, you will be a member of the branch sales and service team dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. Your primary responsibilities will include understanding members’ financial needs and providing appropriate advice and recommendations, completing front‑line transactional services, opening new accounts, offering credit and deposit products, identifying opportunities for wealth referrals, and positioning Meridian products and services to add value to members' financial wellbeing.ResponsibilitiesPerform front‑line transactional services to support members day‑to‑day banking.Open new member accounts using effective account‑opening strategies.Offer credit, deposit, and investment products and identify wealth‑referral opportunities.Provide appropriate advice and recommendations to meet members’ financial goals.Identify opportunities to grow member relationships and refer business to other channels.Engage in revenue‑generating and sales‑based activities to achieve performance objectives.Deliver an exceptional Member experience, including prompt service, careful listening, and consultative skills.Take responsibility for accurate completion and posting of all transactions.Maintain discretion and confidentiality with member privacy.Identify, summarize, and implement solutions that fit members’ needs, providing investment advice when authorized.Conduct credit interviews and underwriting within approval limits, providing recommendations on credit products.Use virtual technology platforms to host meetings and communicate effectively with members.Resolve member concerns and develop action plans to avoid escalation.Abide by all branch policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.Member ExperienceDelivers an exceptional Member experience and offers insights to continually grow our Member Experience.Serves Members with excellence.Demonstrates patience in difficult situations.Shows empathy to Members’ perspectives.Understands how Meridian’s products and services can add value to our Members.Provides a superior Member experience through the identification and promotion of products and services.Works with Branch leadership to champion and implement corporate strategies and programs for the branch.Ensures proper due diligence by posting all transactions accurately and timely.Takes responsibility to ensure accuracy and completeness of all work.Maintains discretion and confidentiality to respect Members’ privacy.Identifies Member requests,



identifies opportunities to grow the relationship.Demonstrates excellent listening and strong consultative skills.Embraces virtual technology platforms and leverages them to host meetings and engage in impactful communication with Members.Removes systemic barriers to exceptional Member Experience.Identifies and contributes to continuous enhancement of the Member Experience while leveraging Voice of Employee.With autonomy to resolve Member concerns – looks to create action plans to avoid escalation in the future.Engages in revenue generation and sales‑based activities to achieve performance objectives.Provides investment advice by identifying and promoting solutions that fit members’ needs.Within approval limits, approves or provides recommendations on credit products based on thorough, accurate and appropriate credit interviewing and underwriting skills.Opens new Member accounts using account opening strategies.InnovationEstablishes a compelling vision and executes on strategy.Takes initiative and accountability – knows what needs to get done.Communicates effectively.Knows the business and their function deeply.Understands their role in the organization.Develops cross‑functional relationships.Working with Branch leadership, executes Retail strategies to ensure continued momentum across Meridian including Omni‑Channel integration.Champions and implements corporate strategies and programs for the branch.Community ExperienceParticipates and executes the Community engagement plan.Promotes Meridian Credit Union in the community by participating in and being involved in community activities or events while demonstrating the Company Values.Supports local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program.Plans, prepares, and delivers Meridian hosted Community events.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong desire for career growth within the financial services industry.Strong business acumen and financial industry knowledge.Flexible to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.Strong knowledge of computer systems.Ability to make decisions, act decisively and provide friendly and personable service.Strong negotiation, interpersonal,
