Ops Specialist Location: Kanata Ontario (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Introduction Join the team responsible for building and maintaining the shared tooling, automation, and CI/CD workflows that power software delivery.
The role involves optimizing build systems and orchestrating end-to-end CI/CD workflows to automate testing, security gating, and multi-environment deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications Proficient in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code, including experience with data structures, object-oriented programming, and error handling. 5 years of experience in software engineering, build/automation, Dev
Ops, or tooling roles.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, or Git
Hub Actions.
Proficiency building tools in Python plus one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Ruby).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with container and cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, GKE, GCP).
Experience with build systems such as Maven, Gradle, Bazel, Ant, Buck, CMake, Ninja, or Autotools.
Familiarity with GNU Make and other build tools common in C/C++ or embedded environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Build and improve automation that enables teams to build, test, and deploy code efficiently.
Shape developer workflows from commit through CI/CD to production.
Ensure build and deployment systems meet reliability, availability, and traceability needs.
