Job Title: Director of Finance Location: Toronto Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days on site Position Overview Robert Half is seeking an Interim Director of Finance for a non-profit client.

In this role, the Director of Finance will lead and strengthen a high-volume transactional finance function.

This role will provide direct oversight of AP, billing, and payroll operations, with a solid focus on process improvement, financial controls, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of 4 staff and step into an environment where processes need refinement and greater structure.

This is an ideal chance for a hands-on finance leader who can assess current workflows, implement improvements, and provide solid day-to-day oversight.

Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for the Accounts Payable, Billing,



and Payroll functions Manage and support a team of 4 direct reports Review current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls Oversee high-volume payment processing, including approximately 5,000 employees/members Ensure payroll processing and review is completed accurately within an approximate 2.5-day cycle Manage payroll complexities, for 5000+ employees, primarily in Ontario , with approximately 200 employees in other Canadian provinces.

Establish and maintain strong financial controls , compliance, and process documentation Serve as a key leader in optimizing use of Oracle Fusion Partner with finance leadership and operational stakeholders to improve reporting, accountability, and service level
