Become an essential part of Kamsack District Hospital as a Mental Health Therapist. This full time role focuses on clinical interventions and promoting mental well-being.
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will engage with clients in a primary care setting, utilizing your expertise for brief treatment modalities and community health interventions. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Services and possess robust communication, documentation, and organizational skills to enhance patient care experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage in clinical interventions and assessments
• Facilitate group activities to foster patient support
• Maintain extensive documentation of client interactions
• Stay updated on mental health legislation and practices
• Encourage improvements in clients' mental health functioning
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 driver's license required
• Degree in Human Services acceptable to the employer
• Experience in integrated care situations preferred
• Excellent critical thinking and organizational skills
• Capacity to work under stress and maintain professionalism
