New Graduates - Student Loan Forgiveness Potential! Port Alberni qualifies as an eligible community for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program for Dental Hygienists working in underserved or rural areas (population <30,000). If eligible, you may receive up to $15,000 over 5 years toward your federal student loans. To qualify, you must:



Have received a federal student loan during your studies Have an outstanding balance in good standing Be employed as a dental hygienist for 12 consecutive months Provide at least 400 direct hours of dental hygiene services Apply within 90 days after your service year This program is a great incentive for current hygienists beginning their career in Port Alberni!
