Pharmacy Technician – Assist the pharmacy team with prescription production, customer service, and sales support across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and verify customer prescriptions, gathering all necessary information.
Maintain patient and drug information files.
Check pharmaceutical products prepared by other regulated or unregulated pharmacy personnel.
Confirm accuracy and completeness of products before release.
Prepare prescription labels and affix auxiliary labels to containers.
Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding monies from patients where necessary.
Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications.
Price prescriptions and prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing.
Stock medications and related supplies, rotate and monitor stock.
Maintain the perpetual inventory system in Kroll.
Ensure customer privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Registered pharmacy technician certification with kept registration to the appropriate pharmacy association.
High level of professionalism and robust customer service skills.
Knowledge of skilled discipline, technical specialties, and related processes.
Ability to implement practical procedures within moderately complex systems.
Leadership and organizational capabilities.
Experience handling cash accurately.
Experience with Kroll is an asset.
Respect for confidential and individual rights of customers.
Effective oral and telephone communication with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians, and customers.
