It is currently seeking a strategic Financial Controller to support financial decision-making and contribute to the growth of its real estate division.
Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements; Supervise the preparation, analysis, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and performance reports; Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal company policies; Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure the accuracy of financial data; Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial information; Implement and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets; Collaborate closely with property management, operations, and executive teams to provide financial insights supporting decision-making and business growth.
Terms and Perks:
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Location: Montreal, QC On-site Market-competitive salary based on experience ($75,000 $95,000); Eligible for an annual bonus; Group insurance and wellness program.
Skills and qualifications: Required Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting or property management software for financial operations (HOPEM, Yardi); Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial analysis; Solid understanding of budgeting methods and financial forecasting techniques; Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable management; Excellent attention to detail; Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously; Strong oral and written communication skills promoting effective collaboration across teams.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred); Excellent command of English (French will be used very minimally); Minimum of 1 year of experience in the real estate sector (preferred).
