Monitor and ensure adherence to internal health and safety policies and external legislation requirements on an ongoing basisMonitor performance against goals to ensure that progress is being made,



and that corrective action is taken if necessaryResponsible for appropriate staff levels to meet requirements of the department. Administer staffing, performance management and training and development activities in accordance with human resources policy and proceduresManage the morale in the department by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with Team Members, Suppliers and CustomersUsing continuous improvement principles and practices, oversee and coordinate all support and plant operations to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet sales, operational and productivity targetsMonitor financial performance to ensure the department is meeting or exceeding budgetary commitmentAnalyzes and report on the daily, monthly and annual key performance indicators and industry trendsUpdate work orders with appropriate information to provide information more quickly and easily to CustomerHours3:00pm to 11:30pmRequirementsPost Secondary diploma or degree in a technical fieldA Technologist accreditation is required, preferably in engineering or another technical discipline5 or more years manufacturing operations experience in a leadership role with exposure to materials management, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, and support systemsKnowledge of ISO 9001 requirementsEffective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes. Ability to influence,



mobilize and gain personal commitment and achieve resultsStrong working knowledge and experience with implementing, managing and sustaining Continuous Improvement processes including lean enterpriseAble to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
