From IT to administration to People + Culture, the Operations team ensures that every individual at our firm has the tools, resources, and environment they need to perform at their best – and enjoy the journey along the way.Now, we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT team and play a critical role in shaping how our business processes and systems scale with us.The OpportunityThis is not a report‑writing or surface‑level analysis role. It’s a hands‑on, deeply embedded role focused on understanding how Davidson truly operates today—and helping design how it should operate tomorrow.Reporting to the Manager, IT Applications, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the entire Firm to map current‑state processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate operational realities into clear, structured requirements that guide enterprise system decisions.You’ll be a key contributor to system selection, integration, and implementation initiatives—ensuring technology investments are grounded in real business needs and positioned to support Davidson’s growth.Map and Understand How We Work TodayLead detailed current‑state business process mapping across departments using structured methodologiesDocument end‑to‑end workflows, including cross‑functional dependencies and handoffsIdentify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, redundant activities, and manual workaroundsAnalyze approval flows, control points, and data ownershipFacilitate working sessions to validate documented processes with business stakeholdersDefine measurable performance indicators for key business processesTurn Business Needs into Transparent RequirementsConduct structured discovery workshops and stakeholder interviewsDevelop and maintain high‑quality documentation,
including:Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS)User stories and acceptance criteriaIntegration and data requirementsReporting and analytics requirementsSecurity and governance requirementsPrioritize requirements using a structured, defensible frameworkEnsure all requirements are traceable back to documented business processesObtain formal stakeholder validation and sign‑offDesign Smarter Future‑State ProcessesDesign optimized future‑state workflows aligned with:Operational efficiencyScalabilityAutomation opportunitiesImproved reporting and data integrityRecommend process standardization where appropriateDefine system capability requirements needed to enable future‑state processesSupport change impact analysis related to process and systems transformationAnalyze Systems and Integration ImpactsDocument system interdependencies and data flowsIdentify integration gaps and data silosAssess alignment between system capabilities and business requirementsSupport evaluation of system lifecycle status (retain, enhance, replace)Contribute to the development of target‑state application architecture modelsSupport Solution Evaluation and DeliveryDevelop structured evaluation criteria aligned to documented requirementsSupport RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation effortsParticipate in solution demonstrations and fit‑gap analysis sessionsAssist with implementation planning and sequencingSupport user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and validationWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise environmentsDeep expertise in business process mapping and workflow documentationStrong facilitation skills and experience leading cross‑functional workshopsProven ability to translate complex business operations into structured, actionable requirementsExperience supporting enterprise system selection and/or implementation initiativesAdvanced documentation skills and proficiency with process modeling tools (e.G., Visio, BPMN tools)Experience within professional services or accounting environments considered an assetStrong analytical thinking, organization, and stakeholder partnership skillsWhat’s in It for You?AboutAt Davidson,
