Position Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for protecting our facility and its occupants by tracking & controlling access, responding to alarms/emergencies, and monitoring surveillance systems.

Required to work rotating 12 hour shifts (days and nights) – over 7 day work weeks (including holidays).

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Screen, monitor, and direct all people and vehicles entering the facility.
Detain unidentified personnel & vehicles until verified.
Notify the appropriate personnel of appointments & visitors.




Keep truck logs in the security office for viewing if required.
Check and direct all incoming and outgoing commercial vehicles.
Attend to the phone system and forward calls to the appropriate people.
Respond to alarms by contacting the appropriate personnel.

Skills & Qualifications
Valid security guard license
Minimum 1 year security experience
Knowledgeable and capable of handling plant security incidents: fire, injury, trespassing.
Robust verbal & written communication skills
High level of professionalism
Ability to work with minimal supervision
