Join UHN as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist in the Brain Program, Toronto, focusing on adult patients facing communication and swallowing challenges. Contribute to impactful rehabilitation services.
In this full time temporary position, you will collaborate with a skilled allied health team while providing evidence-based assessments and interventions. Your expertise in voice, language, and cognitive-communicative disorders will be vital to patient recovery and integration back to life at home, school, or work. You are encouraged to apply creative therapeutic practices and take part in quality initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage patients with cognitive-communicative disorders
• Educate families and caregivers on communication techniques
• Facilitate inter-skilled collaboration in patient care
• Support treatment planning for return to education or work
• Handle supervision of clinical practice students and interns
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Two years of clinical experience with adult neurogenic disorders
• Registration with CASLPO necessary
• Preferred experience in video fluoroscopic assessments
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
