About the Role

The Company is seeking an AVP, Corporate Financial Reporting to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation and analysis of all external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards, and leading the annual financial statement preparation process. This role involves overseeing the corporate adoption of IFRS standards, as well as the research, documentation, and implementation of accounting for various complex transactions. The AVP will also be tasked with establishing accounting policies, collaborating with business partners to ensure adequate controls, and maintaining consultative partnerships with leadership teams across the enterprise.

Corporate Financial Reporting position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' of people leadership experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a preference for those with a background in the financial services industry. A post-secondary degree in business, accounting, or a related discipline, along with a Chartered Qualified Accountant (CPA) designation, is required. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of technical accounting and IFRS, and be an experienced leader skilled in talent development and team empowerment. The role also involves occasional travel and requires a candidate who can foster an creative, cooperative, and agile culture within their team.
